Support to Children: Child Welfare & Education
Every child deserves wholesome food, an unbroken education, healthcare, and safe moral guidance.
Children from economically impoverished families who study at government-run schools receive focused support designed to prevent school dropout and unlock their potential:
- Educational Sponsorship: Direct school and college financial grants, as demonstrated during our 7th Anniversary where 20 students received grants.
- Nutrition Awareness: Supplementary nutritious food provided with counseling on child development for single parents.
- Health & Vision Camps: Periodic health assessments, with special focus on preventive eye care and free spectacles when needed.
- Values & Self-Defense: Imbibing compassion, righteousness and discipline, accompanied by Krav Maga self-defense instruction during annual camps.
Support to Senior Citizens: Dignity & Daily Nutrition
Supporting deserted, frail, and economically helpless senior citizens so they are never left hungry or forgotten.
Many senior citizens in rural pockets are neglected or lack regular meals and medical access. SMS Society reaches out directly to their doorsteps:
- Daily Fresh Hot Meals: Wholesome lunch served every single day with fresh vegetables, and sweets provided twice each week.
- Fortnightly Health Clinics: Scheduled health checkups and free distribution of daily essential medications.
- Festive Gifting & Dignity: Distribution of seasonal necessities such as bed-sheets, dhotis, sarees, and umbrellas during festivals.
- Emergency Medical Support: Rapid transport and attention for acute health crises and chronic geriatric care.
Community Greening & Summer Camps (IOCL CSR)
Building vibrant, clean, and educated village communities in partnership with corporate socially responsible leaders.
Under CSR sponsorship from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), SMS Society conducted massive Swacchta Pakhwada hygiene and environmental campaigns in July 2023 and July 2024 across Nemilicherry and Guruvoyal villages:
- Mass Tree Plantations: Hundreds of indigenous saplings planted along village roads and school campuses.
- Student Competitions: Oratory, painting, and environmental quiz contests in local government schools with awarded prizes.
- 10-15 Day Annual Summer Camp: Storytelling, yoga, self-defence, arts and character-building for rural youth.
