Activities for elders
Often many senior citizens are neglected by their children. Proper and sufficient food is not provided by their grown-up sons/daughters in most cases. Health support is totally absent to them. They are not able to access to the free health services available by Government. Most of the sons and other close relatives, while neglecting them, fail to provide these support to them; but refuse to disown them to old age homes. Still their services to do domestic chores are in demand by these relatives for meager return. A lot of such senior citizens could find homes for their stay and food needs. Therefore ‘SMS Society’ envisages suitable programs to support such needy senior citizens, ensuring regular one good meal a day, fortnightly health check-ups and free medicines, emergency health care support on priority basis and some recreational or occupational needs, as required to specific individuals.
